The main focus for True Nights(and what sets it apart from Unforbidables ‘Darker Nights’ mod) is that it gets extremely dark into the distance, while closer to you, there remains some usable light.
By high definition, I mean that I have removed most of the unnatural ‘fog’ FO4 is well known for, to give HD crisp images, and replaced it with True Storms awesome and life-like volumetric fog where appropriate for the weather.
If you’ve been wanting a realistic nights mod with high quality visuals, this has painstakingly been crafted for exactly that. The aim of this mod is to provide realistically dark nights but still light enough for high definition visuals with moody atmospherics, while enhancing fadingsignals amazing ‘True Storms’ mod. See below for instructions how to increase the light levels, you may very well be amazed how powerful a few clicks can be! My work here is in balancing the light levels across the whole image, setting hue’s/alphas and different lighting effect layers to provide a beautiful natural palette -I’m not determining the exact level of brightness you choose. ENB makes it easier to significantly increase the brightness. I will not be making a variety of versions of this mod, I simply don’t have the time, and theres no need! As an ENB Preset is recommended, you hold the power to make quick and powerful adjustments, easily while in-game, to increase/decrease brightness of the ‘night’, that will only effect the night and not other times of the day.
Once setup correctly, this mod provides plenty of usable light in the near-ground, with deep shadow and beautiful vistas in the far ground.
